I have been using this model headset for the last several years. For y home office use it is good quality and extremely cost effective. I am on the phone so much in my cosulting business they just "wear out." Thank you for your prompt fulfillment. I order 2 at a time so i always have a back up. There is always the possibility the cats decide the cords are toys. Hazzards of home office...:)

My first headset came and I plugged it in but people had a hard time hearing me. I called in the first time, I'm not sure what happened but the young lady helped me out sent me a Fed Ex return copy to use to send my pair back and she immediately sent out a new pair and got them the day I was promised and love them ever since.

I MUST SAY I AM NOT VERY HAPPY WITH IT. THE VOLUME CONTROL IS BASICALLY USELESS BECAUSE ITS STILL LOW EVEN UP ON HIGH. THE ONLY REASON I'M KEEPING IT IS BECAUSE I WORK FROM HOME FOR AN ANSWERING SERVICE AND I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER ONE TO USE. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GO SEARCHING FOR THE PERFECT HEADSET. I notice that it doesn't sit over the head as well as my previous headset. It feels loose and slips. My last headset had a foam covered ear piece that fit more closely. Also the mouthpiece is too long, being right in front of my mouth, (rather than along my cheek) so there is a wind sound when I talk.

I dropped the phone but the headset stayed on my head. After this happened, the cord is now partially disconnected internally. I had to tape the place where it connects into the phone against the side of the phone is a high shrill blows out the ear drums of the person I am talking too. you would think they would make the internal connection stronger.

The headset delivered on my original order was excellent except it had no volume control and the volume was too high even at the lowest setting on my Sprint Sanyo phone. The M214C replacement headset has a great volume control but the sound leaves a lot to be desired (especially "tinny" on outgoing). I ended up buying two of the M214Cs at $49.90 and will live with the tinny sound. I would have been quite happy paying $100 (plus or minus) for two of the original headsets if they had a volume control...it was an all around nice headset.

I LOVE my new headset. Our IT manager typically buys a headset from Fry's Electronics and invariably it is a piece of garbage. This headset has great sound quality and the ability to mute is very important to me. It's comfortable and not at all a cheap product. My IT manager will be placing an order for more with the $10 voucher I received. I was very impressed with the Customer service suggestion of what to buy all the way through to the follow up email I just got. I really do not like the headset. I really like the M110 that you used to carry. For my line of work it was great. I need a headset that will not slide off my head off easily. The M214 is too flimsy and falls off easily and is now unreliable. I am sorry to say I am very dissatisfied with this M214 that's supposed to be comparable to the M110.

I bought the Plantronics Over-the-Head Cordless Phone Headset with In-line Volume Control (M214C) and the Overture Noise-canceling headset but prefer the Overture due to it's longer boom-mic.
I tested both with friends and was told they couldn't tell a difference in voice quality - both worked extremely well.
I've been using the M214 more for my cell phone while at home.
My wife laughs at me because I'll sometimes have both on my head when I get really busy (multi-tasking). What is this world coming to?
