The SupraPlus™ Polaris series does not require an separate amplifier. It plugs into your phone with an integrated internal amplifier. If your phone does not have an internal amplifier, then the SupraPlus™ H251 paired with a Plantronics amplifier will be necessary to work with your existing phone.
