I have had the M12 amplifier for about TWELVE YEARS. =) I replaced my headset three times over those twelve years, once because I snapped it in half.
I am just now looking to replace it after COMPLETE satisfaction over the course of it's life on my desk. (I am going to go with a wireless this time though I wonder if I ought to get the same one so I'm set for another twelve years!!!) Happy Headsetting!!

Not totally impressed with the product. I'm on the replacement and it's pretty much hit & miss. Usually first thing in the morning the tone is normal, although to get it working I have to unplug the AC adapter & re-plug. I have to unplug & re-plug several times a day or my headset will stop working. By the afternoon it starts to sound tinny. BUT I LOVE LOVE YOUR STAFF & ADORE THE TOOTSIE ROLLS!!

I'm pretty limited in what products I can use, due to the type of phone system I have. This product is great when it works, however, this last time, I'm constantly having to re-configure the amplifier. I can be in the middle of a call - put the caller on hold - pick the call back up & not be able to hear them....

Love the product & company!
I have to sit in on conference calls several times a week, EVERY week. I work in a cubicle, so putting my phone on speaker phone is not an option. Before I had this headset/amplifier I had to lean with my head holding the receiver so I could type the notes and would get a horrible crick in my neck and pain in my shoulders. Now I can take the conference calls, mute myself when needed, and get me work done pain free! And set up was very user-friendly.

I have hearing loss above 300Hz and have to use a duel phone headset and amp to hear properly on the phone. Also, it frees my hands. Beyond that, I retired fromt the phone company and am kind of atune to listening for what I hear on the phone call. My first impression is there is way too much base in this headset, for some reason, reminds me of a stereo with the treble down and the base wide open. Does not sound like a regular phone but is mostly clear but would be better if the highs were amplified more as in the standard telephone sound.

Replacement of Amplifier
Our purchase of a new amplifier was based on the previous one not working. This one works well. We have no performance complaints. I did wish the cord attaching the device to the phone would be longer since our phones are mounted to the wall. It would be great if there was the option to mount the amplifier to the wall next to the phone.

Not So Good!
The product does not stand the test of time. Within the last 15-16 months, I have had to get the amplifier replaced 4 times. The headset is comfortable, the amplifier is not of great quality.

Plantronics M22 Amplifier-poor quality
Plantronics quality has really gone downhill in the last 15 years. My M22 amplifier cuts out when muting, adjusting the volume and when connecting cables are jostles even slightly. For a 100 dollars one would expect better quality components.

M22 amplifier does have an occasional problem of not "turning on" when you push the button to answer the phone and you have to push the button a couple more times to get it on. When it is working properly you get great sound quality for the money.
