Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset

I own two of these headsets and of all the other types of headsets I've owned these are the absolute best. Even though they look big and bulky, I forget I've got mine on. They are light and very comfortable. Sound quality is excelent.

Excellant noise cancelling and reception. Generally good volume for the listener on the other end of call, but ocassionally older listeners may have difficulty hearing me. Only real problem that I have is that the connection between the ear bud and my ear is not tight, which can lessen my ability to hear and the headset falls off ocassionally - usually at the wrong time.

I love my headset! I tried Jawbone and Jawbone Prime and just could not get a comfortable fit. I recently purchased the Plantronic CS70N bluetooth headset for the office and use the over-the-ear option with that one and it fits, it's comfortable and I hear everything clearly. That is why I decided I had to try the 510 for my personal cell and I am equally happy with that one. Thanks for you excellent customer service with all of my purchases. I am a dispatcher of men and heavy equipment, and am sometimes in an office environment and often in a noisy environment. The 510 Bluetooth headset has good sound quality on both ends, and will work a big day (like I do) without taking a break! ps. by the way, you people are great to work with!! Keep it up.

I bought two of these a year ago; lost one and one's outbound sound quality deteriorated and callers could not hear me well, so i replaced both units with the same model. It' still the best sound quality and battery life. The tiny switch stinks and is hard to operate. It functions extremely well with all bluetooth phones (better than Sennheiser).

clarity is quite good, wearing for a day comfortably, one would not notice wearing it. The only thing is the ear bud hurt a bit, tried the small and the medium, I think I'll stick to the medium size. Paring was easy, didn't even had to enter the pass code and it was connected already. I'll try it for several months and go from there.
I need to thanks the technical support individual for their assistance in handling my concern with the Blue Parrot headset.

Love the newer version of the Voyager Bluetooth, good price and better quality than Jabra..doesn't sound like you are in a tunnel to the listener and the headset is more stable in the ear with the bigger ear loop. Wal-Mart sell it for $89.95. Have bought several replacement parts and chargers from Headsets.com who I think is an excellent company to get these parts and deal with. Thank you

This is the only headset i have found that works and works very well. I have tried several. Please don't stop making it!!! mine is getting worn so i will be getting another.

comparing to my 925 light Bluetooth the 510 is a very large headset. It needs two hands to be installed. And the charger is a special wall plug, not a quick computer charging jack.

Hearing seems similar to the 925.

Not sure I will keep it.

Most costly headset I have ever owned, but also the very best. The volume on this HS is so high, that I use this HS on the ear with 70% hearing loss, and I sometimes need to turn the volume down. I am extremely pleased.

I used my Voyager for a year, wearing it all day every day. It was so comfortable I often forgot I had it on. Plus it stayed on. The sound quality was decent, although not always as good as an ordinary handset (apparently unavoidable with Bluetooth headsets).

I especially appreciated that it would pair with both my desk phone (using the Voyager 510S base and handset lifter), and with my cell phone. If either phone rang, I could just push the headset button to answer and to hang up.

Then I lost my Voyager headset. I decided to try something more stylish with, perhaps, better noise canceling. I bought a Jawbone 2. At first I was delighted by its advanced styling, and the noise canceling was impressive. But it wouldn't stay fitted on my ear, and when it wasn't properly touching my face the noise canceling went away. Then the sound quality for my listeners was poor. I wear a beard, so I actually had to hold the headset to my face to get reliable sound... hardly hands free. The Jawbone would pair with my base unit, but only for a while. Every morning I had to re-pair the units. What a pain. (Although I can't tell if the loss of pairing was the fault of the Jawbone or the base unit).

I got my money back on the Jawbone and am returning to the Voyager 510.

I have been through at least five headsets in the past three years (two that I returned because they were awful). This is by far the best Bluetooth headset I have had. The sound quality is fabulous for both receiving and sending. It sounds much less tinny than others I have had. I can get great volume out of it when needed. It's nice to have a separate on-off switch. I have no trouble with the voice recognition on my windows mobile PDA-phone understanding me (which has been an issue with some of the others I tried). The behind-the-ear part does irritate my ear a little after long wearing, but I can usually reposition it a bit to fix that. I wear glasses and it is no problem to use with them (which I had feared). Overall a really well functioning unit at a great price.

I have tried a lot of bluetooth headsets and this is my favorite. great sound and great noise canceling - I can be right next to a 2650 server and nobody can hear it on the other end! I was bummed when the blue light stopped working, but as usual the staff at Headsets.com came through with assistance! It is one thing to sell products that are far above standard quality, but it take a leap towards heaven when something goes wrong and you call customer service and truly are treated with respect - given support and have your problem solved - by a delightful human!

The on and off button is located in a horrible position, it is not easy to function with, you have to remove the headset in order to work the button!!

I am very pleased to own another Plantronics product. I have several and have only ever had one minor problem, which was solved very fast by you.I know I could buy the product closer to home but I would rather get it from 1 800 Headsets because no matter who you talk to they are very knowledgeable about all the products and take the time to explain it to me no matter how long it takes. They make you feel like a special customer.
I work from my home office and it is not uncommon to put in 15 hour days, of which a lot of that time is spent on the phone. With my neck problems, thank god for Plantronics.

The first and best I’ve tried is the Voyager 510. I’ve ventured out and tried others: the jawbone; the 855; the 370; the 925, and more.

But in the end, I always come home to the 510. Since the hands-free law passed in California, I’ve been getting a lot more use out of my Voyager and have been reminded of just how well it works.

It’s comfortable, simple, and it just sounds better than anything else I’ve tried. Sure, the Jawbone blocks out every single iota of background noise, but the speech is more muffled and wonky sounding than the good ol’ 510.

I continue to recommend this to my Customers even though there are newer, flashier models out there.

I have always had the best luck with headsets from headsets.com. This headset is the best for noise-cancelling. I have fans and computers all around me and had been having trouble both hearing customers and having them hear me.

Fits behind the ear and does not fall off when I am working , all other styles did. This is my 3rd unit and I have given 2 to friends.

I use headsets all day at work so I'm very picky. I went through several that were not comfortable at all. And many were reviewed as being comfortable. I use one similar to the 510 at work, so I thought I'd try it. Amazing! Although VERY SLIGHTLY heavier than some, the fatter base does not cut into my ear as most lightweights do. I love it. Great sound both incoming and outgoing.

Like: (a)Compact design (b)Handles two Bluetooth devices at the same time, and (c)good wind noise reduction.
Dislike: (a) short battery life (b) product performs well for about 6 mos and then performance begins to decline

Wind noise seems to be a factor. Walking and talking seems to pick up other outside noise from wind or cars passing by. Trying to talk while driving in a car with the window down or in a convertible is not clear for the 2nd party.

The Voyager 510 is awesome. The fact that it's compact, yet form fitting isn't the best part of it though- it's the fact that it sounds great and has a long battery life. I recently gave this headset to my brother and when he calls me, the clarity is perfect! I was so impressed, I got one for myself and people say they can never even tell I'm on a headset. The only drawback, if there is one, is that it's a tad bigger than most Bluetooth headsets on the market right now. However, the weight is evenly distributed and it doesn't struggle to find a good fit on my ear, so I can hardly tell that it's on my ear. I recommend this headset to anyone who is looking for a top of the line earpiece that sounds fantastic but doesn't hurt their budget.

I like my new Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset. I prefer to wear it on my left ear as it becomes uncomfortable on my right. My only suggestion would be to slightly cushion the section that rests on the back of the ear because wearing it for extended time does irritate the cartilage. Otherwise, the sound and reliability are great.

It is a great headset, a little bulky, but I like it. The buttons are easy to use and it connects so easily to my MotorolaQ phone. 100 times better than the Motorola 810 bluetooth headset I had purchased with the phone.

This bluetooth headset is the best I have ever used. I would like a version that is a little less invasive visually without sacrificing the clarity of the audio and the battery life. I may be asking too much but either way, thanks for your excellent service and products. I have hooked many people in my company!

The 510 is the best headset I have used, corder or cordless. I have used three other brands of bluetooth headsets and none of them have the sound and voice quality of the Voyager, I am very pleased with it. The capability to switch from my office phone to cell phone is awesome; it has really made my work day more enjoyable.

I was extremely happy with the bluetooth headset from the moment I received it. I plan on ordering another one for my son in the next few days.

I use the voyager 510 in high noise areas 5-6000 minutes per month sound quality both ways is great.... just don't get it wet

I use this with my Mac mini (OS X operating system) which travels with me. This bluetooth is a great alternative to USB headsets for calling with SKYPE.

Great headset.. Paired it up with my Playstation 3 and straight to Resistance I went.

I bought this because of the great reviews. Sound quality is good but fit is awkward. Headset is bulky and earpieces are a bit ill-fitting. Agree with other comments that volume controls are tough to use when headset is being worn.

I had the older model of the Voyager and I really love the new one. They have improved on the wind reduction. Great product and once again great service from Headsets.com. Love you guys! Thanks again.

I purchased the Voyager 510 to accompany my new Moto RAZR V3c and it appears to be an excellent match.

After a short time to charge the battery, the phone found the headset instantly, and there has not been a hitch since. The range is impressive and the sound quality is very good. Plantronics included 3 ear pieces (S, M, L) which should satisfy most users.

The on/off switch is very small and can be cumbersome to use, but it is only a minor setback on an attractive, reliable, and usable Bluetooth headset.

I have gone through a few Bluetooth headsets, and none seem to last and are too fragile and just don't stay on the ear. They were too easily knocked off when putting on or taking off my glasses. I am so happy with the Plantronics Voyager 510 because it stays on my ear and has the best sound quality of any of the earpieces I have had previously. I would strongly recommend this headset to anybody and everybody.

Overall I would recommend this product. The only consideration is the ear piece is slightly larger than others. This is only a consideration after extended use.

I have tried the Motorola BT, which did not have enough volume to hear well, I have tried the LG which always disconnected, and I also tried another Plantronics BT without noise-reduction and the sound would bother just about everyone I spoke to. The Plantronics Voyager 510 is PERFECT!!! Great sound, comfort, and sounds great to others! 5-STARS FINALLY !!!

Nice look. Boom makes the size bigger, but still it is 0.5 oz. That is why it is comfortable for the whole day. Behind the ear design bother me a little bit when I check the blind spot. Voyager 510 has a strong sound quality. Caller does not even know if I am using the headset. Buttons are small, specially the on/off button. Great features such as noise canceling, redial the last number, voice dialing etc. The bad thing is you have to speak a little bit loud when you use the headset for the voice dialing. The bottom line is that the Voyager 510 comes with very comfort fit behind the ear for them who look for the secure fit, very good quality of sound, and great performance.

The Plantronics Voyager 510 is an amazing headset that offers great sound quality and superior comfort. Set up is simple and connection with my bluetooth phone (Motorola v330) was flawless. I have tried numerous bluetooth headsets from Sony(HBH-65, HBH-35) , Jabra(BT-800, BT250), Motorola(HS-850) and Plantronics(M2500) and I have to say that I like the Voyager 510 the best! I use it with my Treo 650 and what I like about this headset is it's comfort, size and sound quality. It also looks very good and does not resemble something that is not from this planet or a bug.

I used it for a full day and the battery life was still good after a day of fielding 174 calls(my cell battery had to be replaced before the headset had to be charged). The headset felt comfortable and it almost did not feel like I was wearing a headset due to how light it is. When I was not using it I like the fact that the boom mike can be folded and the ear set swivels so it fits comfortably in my pant or shirt pockets.

The sound quality is very good. I was most recently using a M2500 by Plantronics and I find the Voyager 510 has more bass in its tone when talking as well as when listening. The microphone also does a better job in not picking up the background noise as easily. Wind noise is a problem with most of the headsets but when the wind reduction foam piece was added on the boom mike, it eliminated the wind noise. The only headset that I find that does a good job in reducing the wind noise is the BT-800 due to the DSP processor it has, however, it does not work well with the Treo 650(there is about a 5 second delay when answering, the caller id sometimes works and the headset rings after five rings and most of the times does not even get a chance to answer the call because it has already gone to voice mail).

The only complaints that I have with the Voyager 510 is the headset rings after two to three rings on the phone but I have never missed not getting a call. The call back of the last number does not work with the Treo 650 and I have not tried voice activated dialing.

All in all, I have never missed a call using the headset and it has not dropped any calls to date. I enjoy using this headset and I highly recommend it for anyone looking at purchasing and using a bluetooth headset.
