Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth Headset

This is my second unit. The first works fine still but the clear rubber ear holder continuously wore off and I had to re-glue several times to keep using it.I am amazed at the clarity of sound and the battery life is also very impressive.

This Plantronics Voyager 520 replaced an earlier, now obsolete,Voyager 510. I have to thank Plantronics for getting this one right, in particular the ease of adjusting the ear retention loop is superior allowing for easy adjustment with little to no fuss.

i am a cab driver and use my blue tooth device 12 hours per day, 5 days per week. it is very comfortable, and has great sound. i have had this particular device for 6 monthes, and all the pieces are holding strong. id give 10 stars if i could! great product, long talk time!

Although the 520 is easy to use, pairs quickly and has decent sound, the silicone ear loop is a crappy design - from a product durability standpoint. It quickly becomes separated from the hard plastic arm and will fall off in no time. BAD. For this reason only, I give it a poor rating overall.

the flexable lighter color over the ear part is a silisoc type plastic that becomes more brittle over time. When it breaks "there are no replacement parts available" Despite the fine electronics inside, you now are out $80 for a cheap easily replacable piece of plastic. NOW FOR THE 10 cent fix: When it breaks cover the parts with surgical tubing and save $80. Bottom line: product is good, repair availability of an obviously stress point cheap plastic part is poor planing, or intentional obsolence design.

After having several Motorola headsets (several because of warranty repairs) I bought this headset. It's amazing. Good battery life, good sound. The 'button' broke but is still perfectly usable, if not a bit irritating at times now.

Last night (10-22-2009) the ear loop broke away from the phone, I say grab the glue and re-glue it together!

Easy to configure, Useless in windy outdoor setting, Poor range (put phone in pocket=unclear sound) over all pretty good Bluetooth..

The Voyager 520 is a winning headset in my book.

While the headset is more economically priced than headsets like the Jawbone 2 or the Discovery 925, one thing to keep in mind is that this headset doesn’t have available replacement parts; so, when the plastic ear loop breaks it’s time for a new headset.

Overall, this is a great headset and that’s why it’s still one of the office favorites here in our call center.

I bought this headset for my father and had a chance to use is for a few days. The button is easy to operate and it emits a different sound on powering on and powering off, which is easier for my father. The only downside is the sound is a little low in a windy situation or in the car with the window down, but it is really comfortable and is a great quality/price deal.

I do background investigations for security clearances. With all the driving I need a hands-free phone so I can keep my eyes on the road. The Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth headset is perfect for me. With the car charger, I can always recharge it when needed without having to leave the car.

The 520 is light on the ear and very easy to operate. The call button is easily found, and the sound quality is very good. A very reliable setup. I lost my first 520 and actually did buy it again!

The Voyager 520 is very good, in spite of sounding a little "tinny," but it works well and is comfortable.

The one thing that I don't like about the product is that the sound can only be turned up to a low level of amplification for me. I had an in-ear Samsung which was very good, but got lost easily due to it's size. The 520 is light and easy on the ear, but road noise and other external noise seems to be disruptive. My hearing is not the best either.

The Plantronics Voyager 520 is very good, and Headsets.com Customer Service is outstanding. I had questions about dual pairing and voice dialing that were answered quickly and completely. I had also tried to call Plantronics directly, but they were absolutely no help!
