Headset Answers > Dragon no longer supported on iOS devices (MAC dictation software setu

Starting in 2018 Dragon Naturally Speaking will no longer be supporting updates to iOS based computers.

What this means for our Customers is that when they update their operating systems to these new versions, they will be surprised to find that they can no longer use Dragon on their computer. There is nothing that we can do to restore this ability. They would have to revert their software to an earlier version, which Apple does not make easy.

However, there is a built in dictation software on these computers that they can use instead.

In the pictures below you will see the settings that we will need to adjust for enabling headsets to work with this dictation software.

The first picture is the “Keyboard” section of System Preferences. This is where we will turn on dictation and the Customer will choose how to engage it.

The second picture is the “Sound” section of System Preferences. This is where we will select the audio device the Customer wishes to use.
