Digital Call Logger plugged into phone

Please note: We no longer carry the Digital Call Logger. Hopefully this article gets you what you need!

To hook up the Call Logger into your computer:

First, plug your Digital Call Logger into their computer via USB.

Note: It does not like to work in USB hubs, plug this directly into a computer!

Then, install the Digital Logger software CD, and head into the Computer’s settings. Go to the Control Panel ---> Sounds section ---> Recording tab.

Under this tab, select the Call Logger’s mic. It is called AK5371. Set it to default. Disable all other mics listed in Recording.

Note: If you use a wireless headset with your computer for meetings and calls, you will have to disable the AK5371 mic and enable the headset's mic to use it. To switch back to the call logger, and just disable the headset mic and enable the call logger mic when you want to record phone calls.

To hook up the Call Logger through the HANDSET jack of the telephone:
  1. Plug the splitter box into the HANDSET JACK of the telephone
  2. Plug the Digital Call Logger Box into one side of the splitter. On the other side of the splitter, plug the RJ9 CONNECTOR CORD from the headset’s charging base! (Green Cord for OfficeRunner, Orange Base Jack Cord for Marathon, RJ9 Connector Cord for Leitner, Plantronics, and Jabra)
  3. Plug the Curly Cord into the headset base’s HANDSET JACK. The Curly cord does NOT go into the splitter box as pictured on Digital Call Logger’s information!
  4. You will need to use a lifter or lift up the receiver to answer calls this way!
