The GameCom 1 headsets plug into the sound card on your PC.
The plug that has red bands around the jack is for the microphone, and the plug that has black bands around the jack is for the speakers.
If you have external speakers on your PC you will have to unplug them so you can plug in your headset speakers.
Check your volume controls to make sure that you don't have anything muted, also make sure that your microphone has been selected in the computer software.
