Leitner Corded Compat Settings

Use this article as a guide to help you find the right settings for your phone. The settings we need to change are a pair of small switches located on the bottom end of the headset (not the bottom of the quick disconnect cord).

Leitner corded headsets have two (2) compatibility switches where the cord for the headset snaps into the quick disconnect cord for your phone or computer. They are labeled 1-2 and 3-4. Use the tip of a pen to move the compatibility.

Common Known Compat Settings

If these settings do not work, we encourage a quick experiment until you find the right ones for your specific phone

• Computers (USB A and USB C): 2 & 3 (Please note: Older QD cord also had their own set of compat switches, which should also be set at 2 & 3, but the newer ones do not)
• Aastra: 2 & 3
• Alcatel: 2 & 3
• Avaya: Usually needs the specialized Leitner Avaya Quick Disconnect cord - 6 or 7
• Cell phones: 2 & 3
• Cisco: 2 & 4 or 1 & 4
• Cordless home phones: 2 & 3
• Cortelco: 2 & 4
• Grandstream: 2 & 4
• Mitel: 1 & 3 or 2 & 3
• NEC: 2 & 3
• Nextiva: 2 & 4
