Leitner Wireless and Volume Tones

In the past, we could test to see if Leitner wireless headsets had a working speaker by turning on the headset, pressing the + or - buttons, and seeing (listening?) if we could hear a beep.

We have recently discovered that this isn't necessarily true, as some users report being able to hear sounds in the headset, but changing speaker volume doesn't produce beeps. We will have more information coming in later, but right now, what you need to know is:

Listening for volume tones in Leitner wireless will not determine whether or not the speaker is working.
