Headset Answers > My computer says my headset or the Sennheiser EPOS Connect Program nee

Hello friends, if your Customer is either:

a) Plugging in a USB headset and getting an error message saying the computer is missing a sound driver

OR

b) Trying to install EPOS Connect and getting an error message that the computer is missing a DLL file (or any other Windows error message with EPOS Connect)

Then you should REFER YOUR CUSTOMER TO THEIR IT DEPARTMENT.

You do not want to submit them for PS, because the PS Team will tell them the same thing. (PS is happy to explain it if they ask for a 2nd opinion, though)

If a computer is missing a driver we do NOT want to encourage a Customer to download anything on their own. There is a lot of malware (malware = viruses and other bad computer stuff!) out there masquerading as driver files that could kill their computer. We don’t want them to download the wrong thing!

What we CAN do is RECOMMEND THEY CONTACT THEIR IT DEPARTMENT.

If they work from home, they can contact the company they bought their computer from (like Dell for example) for support.

We always want to help out whenever we can, but in the rare case where they are missing a driver and would like to download it: DONUT DO THAT!
