What Materials are Plantronics Headsets Made of? I'm Allergic to Latex!

Updated by Hayden Everly on May 31, 2023

The Plantronics headsets are latex free!

Here is a letter from Plantronics (Poly) declaring that these headsets do not contain allergens!

"February 20, 2007

To Whom it May Concern:

We would like to take this opportunity to explain our manufacturing methods of our headset products, as well as confirm that all Plantronics headsets, including noise canceling headsets, cables and amplifiers do not contain any latex.

The body of the headset top contains no natural rubber substances. The external surfaces are composed principally of molded plastic parts with no natural rubber composition. The monaural and binaural headset tops come factory equipped with a foam ear cushion fashioned from expanded polyester polyurethane and a polyester windscreen containing no natural rubber.

Based upon the information received from our vendors, Plantronics confirms that the headset tops, equipped with the factory ear cushion, does not contain any latex.

Sincerely

Peter Clark
